A-li-ce works as a video artist and as a video live performer since 2005. Graduated of the Ecole Supérieure de l’image of Poitiers (EESI) in 2004, and EHESS in 2007 (Master 2 in video art Theory), her practical experience of photography and drawing leaded her to explore the fields of new medias, creating mostly live video performances since 2006.
She played in many audiovisual festivals (Mapping Festival (Ch), Mash-Up Festival (Fr), Videoformes (Fr), RoBOt Festival (It), LPM (It), Vision Sonic, Vision'R (Fr), DokFest Festival (De), Celeste Prize (New York, 2011), etc.), with solo live video performances and collective projects ( with Homemade Collective audiovisual label (Paris-Berlin), etc.
Since 2010 she works also as a professor for live video workshops in art schools and audiovisual festivals, leading courses on live creation processes.
She also works as video stage designer with theatre companies, creating video content and visual scenography.
Her music videos and short animation movies have been screened in many festivals as International Animation Film Festival of Moscow ( 2011), International Animation Film Festival of Stuttgart (music video selection - 2011), etc.
Her work deals with identities questions, sometimes also with humour and acidity. She uses different techniques as animation paper and video, bringing the public from wonderland to darker realities.
She started in 2010 the multi-medias work in progress “Fucking Wonderland” (4 videos, 1 live video set, 18 drawings), which is exhibited in Kyoto at National Manga Museum in spring 2014 with 5 other french artists. She works on the live performance Parade (2013-2014) and The Intruders (2014) with Swub.
