Visual Sound Festival 2025
Immersive music, visual art and digital narratives in the heart of Villa d’Este

Visual Sound Festival returns in 2025 with a new edition that brings together music, digital art and architectural videomapping in one of the most extraordinary venues in the world: Villa d’Este in Tivoli, UNESCO World Heritage Site and masterpiece of Italian Renaissance.

For three evenings in August, the monumental architecture of the Grand Loggia becomes a living canvas where light, rhythm and poetry converge. Jazz, contemporary composition and ancient music are reimagined through immersive visuals, offering the audience a unique multi-sensory experience.

This year’s edition features:

A poetic and theatrical reinterpretation of the Carmina Burana with music by Carlo Gizzi and videomapping by Radu Negut

The evocative jazz project Flowers, with Francesco Nastro, Flavio Bertipaglia, Antonio Del Sordo, and visual direction by Filippo Gregoretti

The groove-rich performance Jamón, led by Sandro Mambella, Emmanuel Losio, and Antonio Del Sordo, enhanced by the live visual art of the FLxER collective

Through the fusion of sound and light, tradition and experimentation, Visual Sound Festival 2025 invites everyone to experience a new way of listening, seeing, and inhabiting historical space. All events are free and accessible, with limited capacity, and also available online.

This edition is curated by Flyer in collaboration with Fotonica Festival and supported by AVnode Foundation and the Italian Ministry of Culture – Department for the Enhancement of Cultural Heritage, Directorate-General for Museums, and Musei Italia.
